JE Technology Desk: Apple iPhones are among the top-loved handsets across the world. In the latest update, Matthew Beem, a YouTuber with over 4 million subscribers on his channel, with his team, made the "world's largest iPhone", which measures 8 feet. And the intriguing facts do not end here. It works just like a standard iPhone.
Users can play games, click pictures, use apps, and do many other tasks on the mammoth device. In the video shared on YouTube, the host takes the oversized iPhone for a ride on the roads to gauge public reactions in New York City. Apple Pay also functions on this device, as is visible in the video. He clicked selfies and photos of iconic sites and took it to MKBHD's Studio, a famous tech reviewer, to know his thoughts.
"I'm impressed," Marques Brownlee, a famous tech reviewer, said in the video. The reviewer funnily terms it "Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max Plus Ultra".
The 8-foot iPhone is made of different components that include a TV screen for screen interactions, according to a report. This screen is attached to a Mac mini computer that allows users to run the apps users generally use on an iPhone. It also has a similar hardware feel as the typical Apple device, including the power button, volume rockers and mute switch. And the shockers do not end here. It also gets FaceTime and a glass finish on the back and the front.
With the new iPhone, Beem surpassed the record of 6 feet tall iPhone made by YouTuber ZHC. Speaking of Apple, the company killed the 'mini' series to make way for the Plus-sized iPhones. The biggest iPhone in India has a screen size of 6.7 inches.
Coming to more updates on Apple, the tech giant is expected to unveil the upcoming iPhone 15 series in September this year as an upgrade to the current 14 series.
