Vivo's sub-brand iQOO is getting ready to unveil the iQOO 15 in China next month. Pre-orders are already open, and recent teasers have already confirmed the back design and major specifications of the device. Among the top features, the phone will come with a 2K Samsung OLED Everest screen with new M14 luminescent material, along with a dedicated in-house Q3 gaming chipset for improved mobile gaming performance.

Advanced Display Technology

The iQOO 15's 6.85-inch Everest screen features 2K LEAD OLED technology and Samsung's M14 luminescent material. In Vivo Labs tests, the screen is claimed to give a 40 per cent boost in luminous efficiency, consume 44 per cent less power, and double its lifespan by 50 per cent, reducing screen smearing by 60 per cent versus the previous generations. LEAD OLED is the world's first commercially released non-polarised OLED technology, delivering improved clarity and colour gamut coverage to 1.8 times higher than the P3 standard. This means brighter images, higher definition, and a more immersive experience for gamers and viewers alike.

Brightness, Performance, and Gaming Features

The screen has a maximum local peak brightness of 6,000 nits and a 2,600 nits full-screen brightness. It also has a 144 Hz refresh rate, 3,200 Hz immediate touch response, 8T LTPO technology, and extreme low motion blur. These specifications for gamers will ensure smooth gaming and responsive touch. The phone's specialised Q3 gaming chip will further contribute to performance for graphically demanding games.

Eye Protection and Certifications

The iQOO 15 screen features three TÜV certifications: flicker-free viewing, polariser-free design, and eye protection for gaming. Eye Comfort 2.0 and a 1-nit ultra-dim sleep mode allow users to enjoy comfortable viewing during marathon gaming sessions or at night.

Design and Future Tech

Leaked photos indicate a new back design with possible colour-shifting effects. The M14 luminescent material applied here is also believed to be used in Samsung's next Galaxy S26 Ultra, indicating the technology's increasing use in flagship Android phones.
