iQOO Z7 Pro 5G Review: The curved display, combined with the desired performance, has always been preferred by millennials. The fact that many tech companies have begun to introduce smartphones with curved screens in the mid-range segment, which was previously limited to the flagship series, has increased the segment's excitement.
Previously, the mid-range segment has seen some new smartphones, including the Realme 11 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus and iQOO Z7 Pro. Recently, we have got our hands on the recently announced iQOO Z7 Pro 5G and here is the list of things we need to tell you about.
iQOO Z7 Pro Review: Design:
The new entry into the mid-range market has a remarkable design, with the phone's compact yet elegant appearance standing out. The back panel of the smartphone has a matte finish, which is appealing to me. The camera module and ring-shaped flash, on the other hand, add volume to the overall appearance of the smartphone. The smartphone is extremely comfortable to hold with easy access to the volume rocker and other functions.
iQOO Z7 Pro Review: Display:
The iQOO Z7 Pro features a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 120 Hz display. The company has also included HDR10+ support as well as a peak brightness of 1,330 nits. The phone's display is excellent in low light and on bright days, with an accurate and crisp result. Overall, I give the display a big thumbs up.
iQOO Z7 Pro Review: Performance
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, which has an AnTuTu score of 7,13,965 points and a clock speed of up to 2.8 GHz. The smartphone also appears to be capable of multitasking and carrying out all of the required day-to-day tasks. Switching between applications in the window is a piece of cake.
We also tested the iQOO Z7 Pro gaming. I tried BGMI on high frame rate settings, and the game was lag-free, even a little smoother. However, instead of the Vapour Chamber Cooling system, thermals can be an issue for you at times. Rest, the battery, gameplay were impressive.
The smartphone has 8GB of RAM and 8GB of dynamic RAM, as well as a 256GB storage option, which I believe is suitable. The smartphone has 5G connectivity and it can be said to be good.
iQOO Z7 Pro User Interface:
The iQOO Z7 Pro ships with Vivo's own skin FunTouch OS 13 on top of Android 13. It is not clean software; many applications have been pre-installed. Nonetheless, there are some customisable options, such as the ability to remove/uninstall UI icon apps, hide albums, and prevent heating with the iManager Cooling phone.
iQOO Z7 Pro 5G Camera:
The company has provided a 64 MP primary shooter, optical image stabilisation, a 2 MP depth sensor, and Vivo's Aura light. While the camera functioned admirably during the day, it faltered at night. The colours, highlights, blacks, and whites are all good, but the images you'd expect from a Rs 23,999 phone may be lacking.
It has a 16 MP selfie camera, which is also average. It accurately captures skin tone, but facial features lag behind. Portrait mode is likewise lacking in quality.
iQOO Z7 Pro 5G Review: Verdict
The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G is a powerful and well-rounded smartphone with a 5G connection and excellent performance, giving it a competitive advantage. In my opinion, the camera can be a major concern for photo lovers, but this is a phone worth considering.
