Jio, Airtel and Vi announced tariff hikes on their prepaid and postpaid plans which will be effective a few hours from now. However, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a public sector telecom operator in India, has not announced any tariff hike on its existing plans and will offer its already lower-priced plans at the same rate. Do note the plans apply to current BSNL users and the ones who may port out of their telecom service provider.
Before you make a decision, you must note that while BSNL offers services in most parts of India, the connectivity is limited to 4G and can be unreliable compared to private counterparts. Plus, the company offers different plan vouchers for North East, Jammu and Kashmir and Assam LSA.
