Reliance Jio, a telecom service provider in India, is famous for its affordable approach towards tech gadgets. After introducing Jio Bharat 4G keypad phones, the company might be prepping for the launch of 5G smartphones in India. We say this because phones from Jio reportedly appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.
The business may introduce two new devices at the event, which have bagged BIS certification, according to tipster Mukul Sharma. In the screenshot shared in an X post, two devices with model numbers: JBV161W1 and JBV162W1 received approval on August 11. Besides the model number, the screengrab does not give anything about the devices.
However, the specifications of the handsets have leaked on multiple occasions.
