JioCinema Premium Annual Plan: Telecom service provider Jio's streaming service JioCinema has announced a new Premium subscription with one year of validity. The Rs 299 (special price) annual plan offers the same benefits as the monthly plan. But for 12 months. It can be a better pick than the older plan, which was available for Rs 999 per year.

The plan offers ad-free experience (but not in Sports and Live) and Premium content on one device. It can also offer up to 4k picture quality. Considering the company has marked the plan as a special offer, the price may increase in the future to Rs 599. However, this will still be lower than the Rs 999 offering.

According to JioCinema's official site, the plan offers all premium content benefits and users can download and watch anytime. After the completion of the billing cycle, the company may choose to increase the subscription value to its full price. The premium content on the platform is accessible from providers like HBO, Peacock, Warner Bros. and Paramount.

However, if you plan to watch the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, other sports or live events, it does not offer ad-free streaming in these cases. Despite this, the Rs 299 plan offers better value than the previous annual plan. Speaking of other subscriptions, the Premium Monthly plan costs Rs 29 and renews at Rs 59, making the annual plan a better pick.

JioCinema also offers a Family plan, which boasts all Premium benefits on up to four devices. The company has not shared whether it will bring an annual version of the Family plan. JioCinema's latest and monthly Premium plans are significantly cheaper than the competition from Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar.
