If you've been holding off on buying a JioHotstar Premium subscription, this could be a good time to check the app. Some users are now seeing a promotional offer that lets them subscribe to JioHotstar Premium for just Re. 1. The offer isn't visible to every account, but if you're eligible, you'll get Premium access for about a month at almost no cost.
The promotion is currently available only for selected users. One important condition is that the Jio number you're using shouldn't already have an active JioHotstar subscription. The offer can also be claimed only once, so if you've already used it, you won't see it again.

Checking whether your account is eligible doesn't take much. Simply sign in to the JioHotstar app using your Jio mobile number and head to the My Space section. Open the subscription page and see if the Re. 1 Premium plan appears. If it does, complete the payment using any of the supported methods, including UPI, debit card or credit card, and the subscription will be activated instantly.

Some users have also managed to access the offer by opening the promotional page in an Incognito browser window before signing in. If the offer appears there, the activation process remains the same.
While the price is just Re. 1, the benefits are no different from a regular Premium subscription. You'll be able to watch movies, web series, live sports and other Premium content without advertisements. The plan also supports 4K streaming on compatible devices and includes Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos where supported. You can stream on up to two devices, including smartphones, laptops and smart TVs.
There's one more thing you shouldn't ignore. The promotional plan may automatically renew once the free period ends. If you don't want to continue with the regular subscription, make sure you disable AutoPay after activating the offer. You can do that from the AutoPay or recurring payments section of your banking or UPI app.

Since this is a limited-time promotion, there's no guarantee that every user will see it. The easiest way to find out is to check the subscription page in the JioHotstar app. If the Re. 1 plan is available on your account, you can grab a month of Premium access for less than the price of a cup of tea.
