Katrina Kaif Viral Image: After Rashmika Mandanna's fake video went viral, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been a victim of Deepfake AI tools. Images of Katrina Kaif from the upcoming film Tiger 3 have gone viral on the microblogging platform X. However, the photograph was morphed and published on the internet, attracting the attention of many individuals.
In the original picture shared on the Internet, the actress was seen in a towel engaged in a fight with a Hollywood stunt woman while the morphed image shows her wearing a low-cut white top instead of a towel. The images with the towel are DeepFake generated and are completely misleading.
The image is said to be a snippet from the Salman starrer Tiger 3. The Katrina Kaif viral image has yet again raised concerns in social media users’ minds about AI regulations and deepfake technology, which can easily morph the images.
Back in Rashmika Mandanna’s case, the Deepfake AI tool completely morphed the image of Instagram user Zara Patel and put the face of Rashmika Mandanna. The video shows the lady entering the elevator. Abhishek Kumar, a journalist, brought up the issue and asked for legal action and regulatory options.
Taking to their Instagram story, the actress said that the video put her in a situation she was never in and that this is scary how the technology is being misused. She further stressed that the authorities should take further steps before people get affected by such identity theft.
For those who don’t know the Deepfake AI tool, the technology is capable of creating realistic and deceptive content. It can even manipulate somebody’s appearance in images, videos and even audio files. The netizens are demanding dedicated AI regulations for their usage.
