Limitless Pendant, an AI wearable that aims to record the spoken word around you, was showcased by Limitless on April 15. It aims to help you revisit the notable bits in daily conversations and skip the need to note them manually. According to the brand, it can automate the task of transcribing meetings, bookmarking memorable moments, generating to-do lists (based on the recordings), summarising conversations (so that users can ask their questions to the AI) and more.
With its unique aluminium design that is easy to carry using the magnetic clasp, the Pendant gets Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for seamless connectivity and supports charging via the USB-C port. The company's launch video detailed the features of the AI device. It will start shipping to customers in the fourth quarter of this year.
The AI device can eliminate the functionality of switching to any bot for transcription and allows instant activation for meetings. The Pendant is claimed to have a battery life of up to 100 hours and is weatherproof. The conversations on the device are private (saved on the cloud via Confidential Cloud), accessible via the app and can be managed via the permission-based system.
The Pendant also gets a 'Consent Mode' to only capture the voices of people who have agreed to the recording system. It ships with an array of mics to record the output. The Pendant will support only English transcription initially. According to Limitless, users can check the output from the wearable on the web or smartphone.
The company also offers a 'Pro' subscription priced at $29/month, which offers unlimited AI features and audio storage. The yearly plan can take this amount to $19/month. On the other hand, free accounts can access only 10 hours/month of AI features. Buyers can preorder the device for $99. It will be available in eight colour options: Black, White, Green, Blue, Purple, Lime, Pink and Iridescent.
