Apple M4 MacBook Air Release Date: Apple just came out with a new device only recently the much-awaited iPhone 16e in the budget segment, but Apple isn't done yet. If we are to believe in reports, they suggest that Apple might soon drop a new MacBook Air with the M4 chipset as its powerhouse. We can expect an official announcement as March comes closer according to Apple analyst Mark Gurman. Although no official date has been released by Apple, reports suggest that shipments of the new MacBook Air may already be in process, which implies that an imminent launch will take place sooner or later. If accurate, this aligns with Apple's usual spring refresh schedule—last year's M3 MacBook Air was launched on March 8.
What Can We Expect From The Latest M4 MacBook Air?
Design-wise we might not be looking at a big change, which is typical of Apple, but a few things can still be expected. A major upgrade would be the processor, which will be Apple's latest in-line M4 chip, rumoured to be paired with 16GB of RA in the base variant- an upgrade from its predecessors.
Apart from that, we might even get a glimpse of Thunderbolt 4 port which would have enhanced connectivity better than the current Thunderbolt 3 and USB 4. Possibilities are that Apple might introduce its Center Stage camera technology, allowing for more dynamic video calls. Nano-texture display something that was only in higher Macs before could also be seen as an optional upgrade.
Apple has plenty planned for the year ahead. iOS 18.4 is expected to arrive in May, followed by WWDC 2025 in June. The company is also rumored to launch M4-powered Mac Studio and Mac Pro models this summer, with an M5 chip potentially debuting in the MacBook Pro between October and November.
But let's hold our horses for now as these are just speculations and Apple is yet to drop an official announcement for the above-mentioned apparatus. So stay tuned to catch the latest updates.
