Meta announced the 57.0 build update for its Meta Quest devices on Monday. This will roll out to Meta Quest Pro and Quest 2 headsets to improve the user experience in virtual reality. Among the top features introduced in the release include refinements for VR avatars, an option to unsend messages and a new Horizon Feed. Here are more details about each of them.
New 'Unsend' Feature
In the latest update, the company is rolling out an option to "unsend image messages in VR and the Meta Quest" app in countries including "Australia, Canada, Iceland, New Zealand, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the US."
To unsend a photo message in VR, a user can hover over it and choose the 'Unsend Message'. On the Meta Quest app, it works through a click. Both the sender and the receiver will be notified about the activity.
Improved Horizon Feed
Explore will retire and Horizon Feed will make way to the welcome screen, Meta added in the post. The Quest experience will sport features such as "profile, home, groups, worlds, and now Horizon Feed." Users can explore content such as apps, games and Reels using this Feed.

The Feed has been built with "age-appropriate experiences" and lets users express themselves in digital outfits in VR destinations. This Feed will roll out gradually to users of the headsets and the Quest app.
Better Avatars
In the v57 update, Meta is also adding options to infuse more details into the VR avatars. This would enable users to fine-tune their hair, eyebrow colour, adjust skin tone, add makeup and more for better representation in the VR world.

Teleportation in Horizon Home
Users can now teleport themselves anywhere within their VR House but with certain limits. This would not be supported across virtual walls, objects and furniture. Plus, the option will restrict users from teleporting "too close" to a second person's avatar.
To use the feature, users can press the "thumbstick controller" forward until a white arch appears, displaying the spot where a user is aiming and releasing the button to teleport. If the coordinates are red, this means a particular location is not supported.
