'Imagine Me' Meta AI: Meta has officially brought its AI image generation tool, Imagine Me, to India. The feature, already live in the US and select international markets, lets users create stylised AI-generated photos of themselves based on simple text prompts—and it’s now available for free across Meta platforms in the country.

What Is Imagine Me?

First launched in July 2024, Imagine Me lets users appear in a wide range of AI-crafted scenes and styles. Meta announced in a press release that the feature is expanding to Indian users starting this week. It’s integrated into the Meta AI assistant found on apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and the standalone Meta AI app.

By analysing facial data through a short setup process, the tool personalises images to place a user's likeness into different creative scenarios. Want to see yourself as a ‘90s rockstar’? Just type “Imagine me as a 90s rockstar” into Meta AI, and you’ll see your face playing guitar onstage.

How to Use It

To start, open the Meta AI chat interface and type “Imagine me as.” The AI will then prompt you to grant access for facial analysis and capture a few quick selfies from various angles. Once that’s complete, you can begin using the feature right away.

As for prompt ideas, Meta recommends trying phrases like “on the moon”, “in a Renaissance painting”, or “wearing futuristic fashion” to explore the tool’s creativity.

Device Availability

At launch, Imagine Me has been spotted working on Android devices initially, but it will be available on both iOS and Android. However, the feature doesn’t appear to be live on iOS just yet.

The tool continues Meta’s push into personalised generative AI, and since it’s free to use, Indian users now have a new way to express themselves across the company’s ecosystem.
