JE Technology Desk: Motorola has launched the latest Motorola Edge 40 clamshell foldable in India. The device has a mini-cover display with Flex view, which is smaller than the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. The company released the new smartphone in three colour options and a vegan leather finish on the back. For the unversed, Motorola Razr 40 series launched in China and some global markets a few weeks back. Soon after the launch, the company teased the India launch of the Razr 40 series on its official website.

Motorola Razr 40 Specifications

Moto Raz 40 will have a 6.9-inch FHD+ LTPO pOLED 10-bit main screen with up to 144Hz refresh rate and 1400 nits peak brightness. The display is HDR10+ certified. On the outside, it has a 1.5-inch AMOLED 60Hz 8-bit cover screen with a peak brightness of up to 1000nits. The device weighs 188g and is 7.35mm thick when open and 15.8mm when closed. The frame is made from 7000 series aluminium. For immersive multimedia consumption, it comes with stereo speakers having Dolby Atmos and Spatial Sound.

Under the hood, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Coming to memory, it sports 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The device runs on My UX based on Android 13. It has a 4200mAh battery pack with 33W charging and support for wireless charging. Moving to optics, a 64MP primary and 13MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie lens.

For connectivity, the Razr 40 has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. Speaking of sensors, the IP52-rated device boasts a fingerprint reader, proximity, ultra-sonic, ambient light sensor, accelerometer + gyroscope, hall and eCompass sensor.

Motorola Razr 40 Price and Availability

Motorola Razr 40 will have a starting price of Rs 59,999 with an instant discount cashback of Rs 5,000 via ICICI Bank cards. The pre-bookings for the device are now live via Reliance Digital and Amazon India, and the first sale will begin from July 15. The Razr 40 is available in three colour shades: Sage Green, Summer Lilac and Vanilla Cream and single storage (8GB + 256GB) variant.
