Motorola Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra Clamshell Foldables Debuts In China; Check Price, Specifications

MOTOROLA has launched the latest Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra clamshell foldable phones in the Razr series. These handsets will take on the popular Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 that will debut soon and OPPO Find N2 Flip, the Chinese smartphone maker's latest foldable.

Motorola Razr 40 Specifications

The younger sibling has a 6.9-inch FHD+ 144Hz 10-bit pOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 7 protection. Talking of the secondary display, a 1.47-inch cover screen is there on the phone. Under the hood, the foldable draws power from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip. The Razr 40 sports up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The Moto Razr 40 comes with a 4,200mAh battery with 33W charging. Plus, it also supports 5W wireless charging. As for the cameras, the Razr 40 has a 64MP primary OIS lens and a 13MP ultra-wide cum macro lens with a 32MP front camera.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Specifications

The bigger cousin Moto Razr 40 Ultra has a 6.9-inch FHD+ 165Hz 10-bit pOLED with GG 7 protection. It has a bigger 3.6-inch FHD+ pOLED 144Hz cover display. For performance, the phone has a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The device packs up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

It has a 3,800mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It also supports 5W wireless charging. As for the optics, the Razr 40 Ultra has a 12MP OIS primary and 13MP ultra-wide lens that can also work as a macro camera. Flip over, and you will find a 32MP front camera.

Both handsets run on Android 13. As for connectivity, the handsets ship with eSIM support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port and more. For security, the clamshell foldable devices come with a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Here are the variant-wise pricing of both Moto phones, according to media reports.

Motorola Razr 40

- 8GB RAM + 128GB - 3,999 yuan (approximately Rs 46,400)

- 8GB RAM + 256GB - 4,299 yuan (around Rs 49,900)

- 12GB RAM + 256GB - 4,699 yuan (roughly Rs 54,500)

The phone has debuted in three colours - Cherry Powder, Azure Gray and Bright Moon White.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra

- 8GB RAM + 256GB - 5,699 yuan ( near about Rs 66,100)

- 12GB RAM + 512GB - 6,399 yuan (around Rs 75,000)

It is available in three colour options - Viva Magenta, Glacier Blue and Infinity Black.

Do note that smartphones have not debuted in India. However, the official website of Motorola India has hinted that the phone will debut in India soon.
