MOTOROLA announced the Razr 40 Ultra as its latest addition to the clamshell foldable phone market. The smartphone will face the heat from Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G, which is the South Korean giant's trump card in the Flip segment. And how it compares to Moto's offering? Well, we have the answer.
Here is a price and specifications overview of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Specifications
The Razr 40 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ 165Hz pOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 7 compared to Samsung's 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. As for the secondary display, the Razr 40 Ultra sports a 3.6-inch pOLED 144Hz cover screen compared to the 1.9-inch AMOLED display on the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Under the hood, both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The Moto device packs up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, and Samsung offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with the Z Flip 4.
Moto Razr 40 Ultra runs on Moto's MyUX based on Android 13. While the Z Flip 4 runs on Android 12 on top of OneUI 5.1. The Razr Ultra has a 3,800mAh battery with 33W fast charging and supports 5W wireless top-up. On the flip side, the Z Flip 4 has a 3,700mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.
As for the optics, the Razr 40 Ultra packs a 12MP OIS main and 13MP UW sensor. Moving to the Z Flip 4, the phone has a 12MP (primary) + 12MP (ultra-wide) camera setup on the back. While the Razr Ultra boasts a 32MP front camera, the Z Flip 4 has a 10MP front camera.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Price
The Razr 40 Ultra starts from 5,699 Yuan, which converts to roughly Rs 66,000 in Indian currency for the 8GB + 256GB variant. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a starting price of Rs 89,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model.
While the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has not debuted in India, we can expect the launch to happen soon as the company has teased the launch of the phone via its official Indian channels.
