Handheld Phones across the globe have undergone sweeping changes in the previous decade. As we enter into the era of folding phones, it is time to head to the past as the iconic Nokia 3310 just completed its 23rd anniversary on September 1.
Launched in 2000, the retro phone continues to enjoy the title of being one of the 'best-selling phones', according to Nokia. Flip back to the present and the Nokia 3310 and 3310 3G continues to fill in the shoes of the classic device.

What latest 3310 devices packs for users?
The new phone is as durable as the original one yet comes with a slimmer body and better battery life. It can offer up to 22 hours of talk time, as per the brand. Secondly, to preserve nostalgia around the Nokia devices, the phone comes with a popular Snake Xenzia game. Plus, adding to the modern aesthetics is the arrival of colours in the game.
While smartphones are any day a better deal than keypad devices, they have their own set of advantages that include better battery and the unlimited benefits of digital detoxing. Plus, it can also serve as a backup phone in emergency situations and as a primary handset for the technically non-fluent elderly audience.
For a quick refresher, the Nokia 3310 comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA screen on the front. It has a thickness of 12.8mm and is curved from the edges for better grip. A 2MP camera sits on the plastic back with an LED flash. As for connectivity, the 2G phone gets Bluetooth 3.0, a headphone jack, FM Radio and a micro USB port for charging.
The 3310 has a 1,200mAh removable battery. As for the memory, the phone has 16MB RAM and 16MB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via the microSD slot. The device runs on the Nokia Series 30+. It is priced at Rs 3,899 on the official website of Nokia.
