AFTER the massive success of the Nothing 1 smartphone, the next generation Nothing (2) smartphone is pretty much anticipated in the global market. The company has already confirmed the debut of Nothing (1) successor in a few months.
In a new update, Nothing CEO Carl Pei announced that the next generation Nothing phone would be equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset, making it a significant upgrade over the predecessor.
For those who are unaware, the Nothing 1 is equipped with the Qualcomm SM7325-AE Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset, which the company's CEO has stated will be improved. However, it is still unclear whether the Snapdragon 8 first generation or second generation will be used in the Nothing (2).
According to reports, the new generation Nothing smartphone will receive a significant upgrade and will cost around Rs 40,000. However, the company has not yet announced a specific price or phone specifications.
Carl Pei has also stated that the next generation will receive advanced upgrades, and the company will focus on software this time. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Nothing Phone (2) will have up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. According to the report, the smartphone will also have a 120 Hz refresh rate panel and a 5,000 mAh battery.
Carl Pei previously stated in an interview that the company would focus on the United States as its primary market this time. The Phone (1) is already in testing, and the Phone (2), like its predecessor, is expected to be a game changer in the industry.
Despite its average specifications, the Nothing Phone (1) drew a lot of attention and coverage due to its unique design, transparent back, and lighting.
