Nothing, a London-based tech giant, has announced two smartphones in India since its inception: Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2). Be it software updates or new features, CEO Carl Pei regularly introduces users to the latest tricks around these devices. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Pei demoed ChatGPT being used as a virtual assistant on the handset via a widget on the home screen.

Users of a Nothing Phone can access OpenAI's language model via Quick Settings and the launcher home screen via a shortcut. The option will be available on the Phone (2) and Phone (1) devices, the Nothing boss confirmed on Elon Musk's platform. If you also own one of the phones, here is how you can use OpenAI's virtual assistant on your device.
