OnePlus, which has made headlines after announcing that it is working on its first foldable smartphone at the Cloud 11 event, is already good news for tech enthusiasts. In a new update, the company is likely to announce the OnePlus Fold in the first half of August. Additionally, the report also suggests that the OnePlus will take place in New York and the company will make a global rollout of the device.
According to a report by PriceBaba citing the information from the renowned tipster Yogesh Brar said that the company is in plans to have a global event in New York announcing its first-ever fold phone which will take on the segment leaders. The report also confirmed that the device would be making a debut in the initial days of August and the device would make a debut in critical markets such as India and the US.
OnePlus Fold Specifications (Expected)
The report also mentioned that the brand may unveil the OnePlus Fold as a rebranded version of Oppo Find N3 which is going to launch in August in the home country. If the reports are believed to be true, the company may introduce the OnePlus Fold with a 7-inch OLED screen with a QHD+ resolution. The cover screen is said to be around 6.5 inches and will be an OLED panel with an FHD+ resolution. Interestingly, both the screens would get a refresh rate panel of 120Hz.

According to the report, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and is likely to come paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone would run on Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1. The OnePlus Fold would be backed by a 4,800 mAh battery and 80W charging.
Speaking of the optics, the smartphone would get a 32 MP camera on the cover display and 32 MP on the inner screen. Additionally, it is likely that the smartphone would get optical image stabilisation with a 50 MP primary shooter, 48 MP ultra-wide sensor, and 32 MP periscopic telephoto lens.
