OnePlus Open Issues: OnePlus launched the OnePlus Open foldable smartphone in India a few months ago. In recent months, several users have posted about the issues with the main screen on X (formerly Twitter). Soon after the green line disaster that plagued older OnePlus models, the issue of the screen going black is being reported by users on the microblogging platform.
The latest pictures of the foldable floating on X claim that one unit started facing the issue two hours after delivery. A recent post from tipster and mobile expert Mukul Sharma highlighted the update. According to reports, he also posted about the issue in an earlier post on December 27. Plus, tipster Abhishek Yadav shared other images where the handset was affected by the problem.

OnePlus has not responded to the issue at the time of filing this article. Based on a teardown video on JerryRigEverything, a speculated possibility could be the dust behind the glass of the screen that may cause pressure issues, leading to dead pixels inside the display. Several users have been sharing their reactions to the recent issue with the screen.
One user said: "Ye ispe black insulation tape kisne laga diya". Another one added: "In just 2 hours bro downloaded all those games but sad can't play them." A third one stated: "OnePlus definitely need to work on it." Besides the OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12 5G also grabbed headlines for quality control issues recently. An owner of the phone found a dead insect inside their smartphone, according to a 91Mobiles report. The parent company offered support in this case.
OnePlus Open Price In India
The smartphone carries a starting price of Rs 1,39,999 (16GB + 512GB). It comes in two colour options: Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black. OnePlus Open is the direct rival to the seasoned Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in India, which starts from Rs 1,54,999.
