November was a good month for tech enthusiasts, as a lot of new electronic gadgets made their way to India, especially when it comes to flagship smartphones and tablets, but the show isn't over yet, as there are several launches that are going to take place in December as well, so if you are someone who has been planning to buy something new for this Christmas or New Year, these December launches will help you in taking the right decision when you finally go ahead and choose your product.
With several smartphone releases lined up ahead this month, like the Vivo X300 series, the Realme P4X 5G, and the OnePlus 15R, we must not turn our heads away from tablets that are going to get introduced this month.
Apart from the introduction of a compact OnePlus 15R, which is the budget flagship variant of the OnePlus 15, the company is also moving ahead and is expected to introduce the OnePlus Pad Go 2, which will also make its debut on December 17. Its previous version, the OnePlus Pad Go, was dropped in 2023, and it's time we get to see a refreshed gadget this year from OnePlus that is not a smartphone.
OnePlus Signals a Bigger Push With Pad Go 2
From the early signs, OnePlus appears to be treating the Pad Go 2 as a more serious tablet release than the last generation. Stylus support is officially confirmed, and 5G connectivity will be available on the top-end variant. The original Pad Go shipped without stylus support, while the broader Pad lineup traditionally offered stylus and keyboard accessories separately. With this upgrade, OnePlus seems intent on tightening the gap between its entry- and mid-tier tablets.

Colour Variants and Connectivity Details
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is set to launch in India in Shadow Black and Lavender Drift. Only the higher 8 GB + 256 GB variant in Shadow Black will include 5G connectivity, positioning it as the one to pick for users who want always-on data support. The rest of the lineup focuses on Wi-Fi, keeping the lower models within a more accessible price bracket.
Early Look at the Camera and Design
The teaser image shows a compact circular camera bump on the rear panel, indicating a single-lens setup. This keeps the design simple, modern, and closely aligned with the Pad Go aesthetic. OnePlus isn’t trying to overbuild the camera here, sticking to a configuration that’s largely practical for a mid-range tablet.
OxygenOS 16 Brings UI Refinements and AI Touchpoints
The Pad Go 2 will run OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The refreshed UI includes lockscreen customisation, smoother animations, and AI-backed tools within stock apps like Recorder and Notes. This is the same approach OnePlus is taking across its latest devices, pushing subtle but meaningful additions to day-to-day features.
Will Plus Mind Arrive on Tablets?
The teaser includes the OnePlus AI branding, raising questions about deeper software additions. The OnePlus Pad 3, reviewed earlier this year, did not include the Plus key or the Mind Space app. Whether OnePlus plans to extend Plus Mind and Gemini integration to tablets is something the launch may finally answer.

Expected Pricing and Market Position
The first Pad Go launched at ₹19,999, and a similar price band appears likely for its successor. The current lineup places the OnePlus Pad Lite at around ₹15,000 and the OnePlus Pad 2 near ₹30,000, leaving a clear slot for the Pad Go 2 to continue as the mid-range option without clashing with existing models.
