Oppo Find N5 teased: What might just be the world's thinnest or slimmest foldable phone is on the verge of coming out soon, and the tease that has surfaced from Oppo hints towards a February launch for the Oppo Find N5. This device will also serve as a prototype for the OnePlus Open 2.
There have been several leaks that have been popping out lately which gave us a sneak peek into the design, but now a new set of images has come out unveiled by a company executive giving us an idea of how slim the smartphone will actually be when compared with an iPhone 16 Pro. Another sign that confirms its imminent launch is the Oppo N5 surfacing on Geekbench as well.
Zhou Yibao, the product head of Oppo’s Find series, addressed discrepancies in recent leaks by sharing a few images of the much-anticipated Find N5. Oppo's Chief Product Officer, Pete Lau, previously stated that the device would be the "thinnest foldable phone" when it launches.
The images, shared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, showcase what appears to be one-half of the Oppo Find N5. These images make it quite clear that the Oppo Find N5 is very slim even when we are talking about foldable phones. In the images, it can be seen that the thickness of one side of the device is just as thick as 2 coins stacked on top of each other, which is pretty slim.

A thing to notice here is that just one-half of the Oppo foldable is visible in the images, so we can speculate the device to be as thick as the iPhone when both sides are on top of each other, not to say that it's bad it's still very slim for a foldable, and we can also expect an obvious camera bump at the top. From previous reports, it can be expected that it might sport a similar 50-megapixel three-camera layout this time as well.
But its not just the slim design that will steal the show this time, the Find N5 is also expected to showcase impressive IP certifications. According to a different Weibo post from Yibao, the Find N5 might come with both IPX8 and IPX9 ratings and this would make it the first foldable to withstand high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.
The Oppo Find N5 isn’t just about a sleek, durable design—it’s also gearing up to deliver impressive performance. Equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, this foldable is set to pack a punch. Additionally, the device is rumored to come with a 5900 mAh battery, offering a significant boost over the 4800 mAh battery in its predecessors, the Find N3 and OnePlus Open.
According to Oppo's Chief Product Officer Pete Lau, the Oppo foldable is expected to launch in February, and it might debut in China first.
