Poco has kicked off a major refresh of its flagship lineup with the global debut of the Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro. Both devices push Poco into a more premium territory, pairing top-tier hardware with HyperOS 3 and audio tuning by Bose. While the Ultra variant gets Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Pro version settles for the previous-gen Elite SoC but still targets performance-centric buyers.

Pricing and Availability

Poco has positioned the F8 series aggressively in global markets. The Poco F8 Ultra starts at $729 for 12GB + 256GB, while the 16GB + 512GB option is $799. Early-bird buyers get the same models at $679 and $729, respectively.

The Poco F8 Pro begins at $579 for 12GB + 256GB and $629 for 12GB + 512GB. The introductory pricing brings them down to $529 and $579.

Both phones come bundled with Spotify Premium trials, YouTube Premium, Google One storage, and a free screen replacement in the first six months.

Poco F8 Ultra: Features and Specifications

The F8 Ultra is clearly the star of the show. It gets a 6.9-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 3,500-nit peak brightness, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The camera setup features three 50-megapixel sensors: a main camera with OIS, a 5x optical zoom periscope, and an ultrawide. On the front sits a 32-megapixel shooter.

The device packs a 6,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and multi-satellite GPS. Audio comes via a Bose-tuned 2.1 stereo setup.

Poco F8 Pro: Features and Specifications

The F8 Pro scales things down slightly with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, 120 Hz refresh rate, and the previous-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It offers 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage while running HyperOS 3.

The triple rear camera system has a 50-megapixel main sensor with OPIS, a 50-megapixel 2.5x telephoto, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front camera is 20 megapixels.

It carries a 6,210mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, plus an IP68 rating.

Poco is promising four major Android updates and six years of security patches for both phones.
