Sony's next PlayStation has been subject to massive churning by the rumour mill in the recent past. While we might not be notably close to the possible debut, a new report by Dealabs claims Sony could host a PlayStation Showcase soon. The console is tipped to have the naming scheme 'PS5 Pro'. The report managed to share hints from the front visual of the packaging box on the console.

According to the report, the representative sketch can allow viewers to have a precise idea of the design and what to expect from the exteriors of the PS5 Pro. The design could be similar to the PS5 Slim and offer a similar white shade for the exterior facade. It is tipped to offer two USB Type-C ports and a power button on the front. The device may offer three stripes in the middle of the facades of the PlayStation.

However, the device is expected to be thicker than the slimmer iteration of the PlayStation. The presence of a disc player on the PS5 Pro remains unknown as the image only hints at a non-disc player variant. Dealabs speculates this could be a commercial choice to launch the PlayStation at a more competitive price.

Plus, the report further claims it could ship with the same white DualSense Controller as the PS5 and PS5 Slim. The report speculates the PlayStation 5 Pro is expected to be announced by the first half of September 2024. It may sport a more powerful GPU and CPU with better ray-tracing architecture.
