Realme 16 5G India Sale: Realme has expanded its 16 series in India with the launch of the Realme 16 5G, and the phone is now officially up for grabs. Announced on April 2, the device is currently available through Flipkart as well as the company’s own online store. Buyers can choose between Air Black and Air White finishes, along with three storage variants.

Let’s start with the pricing. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 31,999. The 8GB + 256GB variant comes in at Rs. 33,999, while the top-end version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 36,999. As part of the launch offers, Realme is giving up to Rs 3,000 instant discount on EMI transactions using select credit cards. There’s also an option to avail a Rs. 2,000 bank or UPI discount, along with EMI plans stretching up to 12 months and an additional Rs. 1,000 exchange bonus.
On the software side, the Realme 16 5G runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 layered on top. The company is promising three years of OS updates and four years of security patches, which adds some long-term value. The phone features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports a 240Hz touch sampling rate, covers 100 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and can hit up to 4,200 nits of peak brightness. You also get an in-display fingerprint sensor for unlocking.
Internally, this phone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chip along with the 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage space. Heat dissipation from the smartphone is managed with a vapour chamber cooling technology that has an active heat dissipation area of 6,050 sq mm. The phone also comes with an IP69 rating, which is quite rare in this segment.
In terms of cameras, the setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel monochrome lens at the back. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 50-megapixel front camera. The device supports video recording at up to 1080p at 60fps.
It appears that this is one department where battery life will be excellent. The Realme 16 5G comes with a mammoth 7,000mAh battery, paired with support for 60W fast wired charging technology. It may have a high-capacity battery, but it still retains its slender profile of 8.10 mm and a weight of 183 grams.
A rather interesting feature of this device is the selfie mirror located on the back camera housing.
