Noise Cancellation On WhatsApp

Previously the feature was under development, as was reported by WABetainfo, and now the agency says that the Meta-owned instant messaging app is finally testing this feature, but it is only limited to a few Android beta users. This means that some beta users right now can improve their call quality and are getting to experience suppressed background noises while taking voice and video calls, and this follows the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.26.14.1, which is on the Google Play Store right now.

The feature is currently rolling out gradually, and it might still be some time till it gets to the wider public.

How Will Noise Cancellation Work For WhatsApp?

In its very basic sense, noise cancellation helps in suppressing the unwanted background noises that you might find yourself dealing with in public places. Here this feature will detect ambient noises and filter them out while keeping the speaker's voice intact, making conversations clearer and making it easier to understand even if it's noisy in your surroundings.

How To Enable It?

Reports suggest that the feature is in WhatsApp's latest beta update, but only a few testers have got their hands on it, as it's limited, and they can easily check in the calling menu if the option is available. The feature is enabled by default, though, so WhatsApp will automatically turn it on when the user takes or dials a call; it can be turned off anytime if the user wants.
