Realme has officially introduced its newest flagship, the GT 8 Pro, in India. The device steps in as the successor to last year’s GT 7 Pro but arrives with a redesigned identity, a new camera partnership and a set of hardware upgrades that position it as one of Realme’s most ambitious launches yet. This is the first Realme phone developed in collaboration with Ricoh, a name long associated with street photography, and the focus on imaging is clear from the outset.
Adding to that, the GT 8 Pro debuts an interchangeable camera module system, allowing users to physically swap modules and change the design language of the device, something rarely seen in mainstream flagships.

Pricing and Availability in India
Realme has priced the GT 8 Pro at Rs 72,999 for the 12GB/256GB configuration, while the 16GB/512GB model comes in at Rs 78,999. Buyers can avail bank discounts worth Rs 5,000, and early customers will receive a complimentary set of camera modules. The Dream Edition, created in partnership with the Aston Martin F1 team, is priced at Rs 79,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant. The device goes on sale on November 25.
Hardware and Display Upgrades
The GT 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits. Power comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with a large 7,000 sq mm vapour chamber cooling system to maintain performance under sustained loads.

On the front, the device carries a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Realme’s swappable camera module system allows users to replace the rear module with various designs including square, circular and robot-inspired options, giving the device a distinct level of customisation.
