Galaxy A17 5G: Samsung is going on a launch spree, and it has just launched its new A series phones, the Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy A17. The new series has a new design, improved performance, and AI-powered features, all without burning a hole in your pocket, to further strengthen Samsung's lineup of mid-range phones.

Samsung Galaxy A17 Series Features, Price And Availability

The Galaxy A17 series sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display and supports a good 90 Hz refresh rate, which is good for scrolling and is also good for gamers looking at upgrading to a higher refresh rate gameplay. The design is also improved with thinner dimensions and a linear camera design inspired by its flagship series.

For cameras, both devices have a triple-camera arrangement. The main 50MP sensor comes with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), coupled with a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro. This setup is made to withstand every creative need that you have, from portraits to panoramic shots; this budget-friendly smartphone has got you covered.

Durability has not been overlooked either. The phones are shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and sport an IP54 rating for dust and splashing. Samsung will give the devices six OS updates and six years of security patches—service which is something new when it comes to this mid-range segment.

Powering the Galaxy A17 5G is the Exynos 1330 chipset. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery that has 25W fast charging support with it. Samsung says this combination is designed to easily last a day of gaming, watching, and social activity. Storage is 128GB with 4GB RAM to start, but it can be expanded up to 2TB with a microSD card.

As far as price goes, Galaxy A17 5G is priced in the UK at £199, which is about ₹21,000, although the price in India will be different. Galaxy A17 will sit at a similarly affordable point. Colour options for the A17 are light blue, grey, and black, while the 5G option is available in black, blue, and grey. The two are now available for purchase through Samsung's official website and retail partners.
