Samsung, a South Korean smartphone maker, announced the Galaxy Z Fold phones and more devices at its second Unpacked event in July this year. And at the first Unpacked in February 2023, we witnessed the announcement of the flagship Galaxy S23 series. And latest reports claim that the company could announce the successors of these models at an event in San Francisco.

According to Seoul Economic Daily, the Galaxy S24 unveiling event will be held in the United States, the homeland of California-based tech giant Apple. The distance between the reported location and the iPhone maker headquarters is just one hour if travelled via road. Additionally, tipster Alvin claims the phones may arrive in January 2024.

The event will likely witness the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, which is tipped to arrive with three variants: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra. With the move, Samsung will aim to cement a global footprint of a powerful S23 series. Moreover, the tipster on X (formerly called Twitter) added that Samsung could also launch "some other devices" at the mega showcase.

For context, Samsung switched to Seoul, South Korea for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and other tech products for the last Unpacked event. However, the company has a long tradition of unveiling the S series in San Francisco and its foldable devices in New York.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series: What To Expect

All the models in the lineup will likely ship with upgraded OLED QHD screens. The top-end device in the lineup may arrive with up to 12GB RAM. It could ship with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in some markets and an Exynos 2400 chip in other countries.

Like the current iteration, the battery capacity of the phones may range from 4,000mAh to 5,000mAh. The S23 Ultra could have a quad camera setup at the back like its predecessor.
