Samsung after unveiling its own AI model is now planning to remove the language barrier with the AI-powered Live Call Translate feature. The company on Thursday announced this feature and is reported to debut next year. It will offer a personal translator which will be making the communication seamless and more productive.
The Galaxy AI is marketed as a complete mobile AI experience that makes use of cloud-based AI via partnerships with top industry players as well as on-device AI created by Samsung. By removing typical barriers to connecting with others, this integration aims to improve user communication.

The Live Translate Call feature is notable because it integrates with the native call feature, doing away with the requirement for additional translation apps. Conversations with people who speak other languages will be easier for users as they speak since they will receive real-time text and voice translations. Samsung compares the experience like watching a show on streaming with closed subtitles.
Wonjoon Choi, EVP and Head of R&D, Mobile eXperience Business, said, "Galaxy AI is our most comprehensive intelligence offering to date, and it will change how we think about our phones forever."
Samsung highlights that in addition to removing language barriers, Galaxy AI will improve users' day-to-day mobile experience while maintaining the security and privacy aspects that Galaxy customers have grown accustomed to.
Meanwhile, Samsung has also stepped into the AI space with Gauss, which is named after German mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss. The company’s own language model is currently limited to workers and can create mails, draft a summary and more. Samsung also aims to introduce to the Galaxy phones, says a report.
