Samsung has released its latest M series model, the Galaxy M17 5G, in India; the information was made officially known by Samsung. A new smartphone under Rs 15,000 aims to provide a well-rounded mixture of performance, design, and durability, thus making it one of the most affordable and impressive 5G segments of competing smartphones.

Just after its Galaxy M16 was out of stock, the launch took place, hinting that the users waiting for Samsung's next cost-effective release could have received a timely upgrade. The differences with both hardware and software are quite visible in the new Galaxy M17 5G, accompanied by good news regarding an extended support duration from the company.

Price and Availability in India

There are two very beautiful finishes — Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black — in which one can find the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G. 3 memory variants (4GB, 6GB, 8GB) are available, and each of them is combined with 128GB of storage. The starting price for the base model capacity of 4GB + 128GB is Rs 12,499, and the other two configurations of 6GB and 8GB are separately priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,499, respectively.

On Amazon, Samsung's official website, and retail stores, buyers will be able to purchase the phone on October 13, 2025. Samsung is offering limited-time discounts during the launch period, thus providing a reason for early buyers to pay even less for the Galaxy M17 5G, apart from its low price.

Key Features and Specifications

The Galaxy M17 5G display is a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 1100 nits, thus giving the sharpest images and also better visibility even when exposed to direct sunlight. The device is powered by Samsung's 6 nm Exynos 1330 chipset for smooth multitasking and 5G connectivity.

On the camera side, Samsung has outfitted the phone with a triple-lens setup composed of a 50MP OIS primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is 13MP and is aimed at selfies and video calls.

A 25W fast charger powers a 5000mAh battery, which has been a standard for the recent phones, but it still gives reassurance of good all-day usage. The device ships with One UI 7, based on Android, and Samsung has announced six years of OS upgrades and security updates – notably for this price range.
