South Korean smartphone maker Samsung recently announced the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in Paris. Days after launch, a fresh report claims the tech giant could be gearing up to launch a new iteration of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which could arrive later this year.

According to a report from Allround-PC, the "Q6A" codenamed device could be a fan edition, a slimmer iteration or an Ultra trim of the latest flagship book-style foldable. As per the report, the 'Ultra' trim of the foldable is expected to debut in October this year in China and Korea. In China, it could be named "Samsung W25".

Considering the rumours, the slimmer iteration could expand to more regions than China. However, the production target for the year is reportedly limited to 4,00,000-5,00,000 units. According to Max Jambor, the thickness of the foldable could be around 7-8mm. For context, the Honor Magic V3, the slimmest foldable phone right now, has a thickness of 9.2mm.

Samsung could also unveil the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup and its XR headset, which may rival Apple's Vision Pro mixed reality headset, in October this year. In a second instance, a report from The Korea Economic Daily Global Edition claimed the company could unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim by the end of this year.

As per the news outlet's sources, the 'Slim' iteration could boast a thickness of 10mm. Moreover, the succeeding models could be even thinner. The upcoming foldable could offer an 8-inch screen compared to the 7.6-inch on the current iteration. Meanwhile, the company recently unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 alongside the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 series and the Galaxy Ring.
