Samsung is moving ahead with the rollout of its other major software update. Last month, Samsung did a test run of One UI 8 based off of Android 16 for the Galaxy S25; now they are moving on to One UI 8 Beta 2. This update came out after Google released Android 16 and comes with a lot of enhancements, bug fixes, and feature tweaks for Samsung’s flagship devices.  

One UI 8 Beta 2: Update Details

  • Regions Currently Receiving the Update:

    • South Korea

    • United Kingdom

    • Germany

Users from Germany, the UK, and South Korea can now access new accounts. Polish and Indian users have also been added, while US users are still waiting for the update. However, since they were part of the first wave, the update is likely to land there soon.

  • Fixed alarm sound not ringing when Clock app isn't updated

  • Enhanced stability via updates to apps including the Camera

How to Enroll in the One UI 8 Beta Program

If you own a Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra, here's how to join the beta:

  1. Download the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store or Play Store.

  2. Sign in with your Samsung account.

  3. If you're in an eligible region, tap on the One UI 8 Beta Program banner on the homepage.

  4. Follow the prompts to complete your registration.

  5. Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to check for the beta update.
