Samsung S25 Edge May Feature A Smaller Battery – Here’s What To Expect In Terms Of Specs & Features

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Update: Samsung rolled out its S25 series, at the beginning of this year demonstrating a strong start for the smartphone maker, and now it is expected that a new member will join the S25 family, reportedly the S25 Edge. This would be a slimmer version similar to something that fans are expecting from the expected iPhone 17 Air this time but will have more or less the same features as the S25 flagships. Although, reports suggest that the battery on the S25 Edge might be smaller than the base version of the flagship S25 series. The phone has also made an appearance on the certification website.

What To Expect Features-Wise

The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor is expected which is there in the current S25 lineup. You can also expect 12 GB of RAM and Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box. The phone is expected to be priced at approximately $999 (around Rs. 87,150). For taking pictures S25 Edge can be expected to sport a dual camera setup which would comprise of a 200-MP primary shooter and a 12-MP ultrawide sensor.

Smaller Battery?

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge battery, identified by model number EB-BS937ABY, has been spotted on the UL Demko database with certification number DK-162562-UL. The listing indicates a 3,786mAh rated capacity, with the phone likely to be marketed with a 3,900mAh typical battery.

This information is in line with an earlier leak that pointed out that the device might come with a 3,900 mAh battery, which is smaller than the 4,000 mAh that other S25 variants have, this could be a deal breaker for some, and this move could be due to mobile's slimmer design. The Edge was also spotted on China's 3C website, and the listing there suggests that the device might come with a 25W wired charging similar to the vanilla version of the S25 series.

It is rumored to feature a 5.84mm thickness, weigh 162g, and come with a 6.65-inch display. Rumours tell us that the device could be priced somewhere around $999 ( Approximately Rs 87,150) and tips suggest that we might witness its launch on April 16 and subsequently might go on sale in May.
