CARYN Marjorie, a 23-year-old Snapchat star with 1.8 million subscribers, has been making headlines for forging an AI replica - Caryn AI of herself that is chargeable on a per-minute basis for chats. As per Fortune, the AI version of the influencer has over 1,000 male friends with whom the model spends between 10 minutes to hours. It can discuss future plans, intimate feelings and more.

During the beta run on Telegram, CarynAI generated $71,610 (Rs 58,83,656) in revenue from Marjorie's fans. The model is a result of 2000+ hours of training that the AI model underwent from Marjorie's recordings. It is a voice-based bot having the personality of Marjorie during conversations.

Chat privacy

Members are ready to pay $1 per minute for a chat with the model that can range from sad to fantasies. As per the official website of Caryn AI, these chats are end-to-end encrypted to ensure they are confidential.

What the influence has to say?

"Whether you need somebody to be comforting or loving, or you just want to rant about something that happened at school or work, Caryn AI will always be there for you," citing the influencer's phone call, the news outlet reported. The influencer aims to fill the communication gap between her followers with the new AI conversation tool.

Additionally, while Marjorie claimed the technology does not involve in sexual conversations, Fortune discovered otherwise.

Forever Voices, the brain behind this romantic AI replica, has also forged models of Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, Taylor Swift and more celebrities. CarynAI promises an "emotional bond" with users that rings the bells for the movie - Her, released in 2013.

Whopping revenue predictions

As per the report, the influencer predicts a revenue stream of $5 million monthly (over Rs 40 crore) even if a fraction (20,000) out of her 1.8M followers join Caryn AI. Moreover, a waitlist of 26 hours to try the Inflencer's AI avatar was reported by Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the launch of the first influencer-based AI bot comes at a time when top tech giants like Google and Microsoft are racing to ace the AI war. Google recently launched its updated Bard AI model at the Google I/O 2023 event.
