The Sony Playstation 5 continues to sway gamers in India even years after launch. Thanks to Sony's periodic restock and discounts policy, the gaming console continues to win massive demand in the country. In a recent attempt to attract more buyers, Sony's India wing has announced a limited-time 'Summer Promo' offer on the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition.

While the offers are available on older models, the new PlayStation 5 Slim, which is available on Blinkit via 10-minute deliveries (at select PIN codes), is not a part of the offers. The discount is available on the Standard Edition, and the cost of the Digital trim remains unchanged. A key difference between the two is that the standard variant comes with a slot for Blu-ray discs.

Sony PlayStation 5 Offers, Price In India

Sony has announced that the PlayStation 5 Standard Disc Edition (CFI -1208A01R) will be up for grabs after up to Rs 13,000 discounts. At the time of filing, the variant is available for Rs 54,990. With offers, the price of the console will dip to Rs 41,990. The offer will be available from April 10 to April 30 (if stocks last).

As for availability, the offer-laden PS5 will be up for grabs on Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, Blinkit, Reliance, Vijay Sales, Sony Center and other partner retailers. The offers on the standard make sense for people who own a range of game discs and often use the Blu-Ray disc drive. PS5's digital edition or PS5 Slim will not be available via the stated discounts.

However, the recent offers can also be seen as an attempt to clear stocks of the older trims. Meanwhile, the newly announced PS5 Slim went on sale last week in India.
