Twitter Not Paying Google Cloud Bills

Reuters, citing Platformer, reported that Twitter refused to pay Google Cloud bills which may lead to the "social media company's trust and safety teams being crippled." The company signed a "multi-year" deal with the search giant to tackle spam, protect accounts and similar purposes. This happened before the takeover deal.

The report adds that the company has been attempting to rework its contract with Google since March. Google is not the first firm facing payment problems. In the past, Amazon warned the company that it would withhold ad payments due to the outstanding cloud computing bills, as per Information.

Twitter To Pay Verified Creators

Twitter boss and Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared on Saturday that the company will start paying creators for advertisements that show up in their replies. The company has allocated $5 million as payments for this new apparatus. But, the conditions to disperse the amount are: a creator has a verified profile; Only ads displayed to verified users will count for payments.

Editable tweets

Twitter also announced that users can now edit their tweets for up to one hour. This change only works for original tweets and quote tweets at the moment.
