Upcoming Phones 2024: A range of new smartphones are gearing up for launch in India this month and in August. The list ranges from the mid-range Nothing Phone (2a) Plus and Realme 13 Pro Series to the flagship Google Pixel 9 series. Vivo is all set to launch its camera-centric V40 series. iQOO will announce the mid-range focused Z9s series next month.
Beyond these, Motorola and POCO have also announced the launch dates of their upcoming launches. For a detailed look, here are the upcoming smartphones in India and their possible details.
Upcoming Phones In July, August 2024
Realme 13 Pro 5G Series: Realme's mid-range number series phones are all set to launch in India on July 30. The company is betting big on the periscope capabilities of the Pro Plus trim in its marketing materials. While the Realme 13 Pro Plus trim could sit in the over Rs 30,000 price range, we can expect the 13 Pro 5G model to start from about Rs 26,000 in India.
Nothing Phone (2a) Plus: The upcoming phone from Nothing will be announced on July 31. It will sport a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 chipset, a 50MP + 50MP rear and a 50MP selfie shooter. We can expect the phone to sit in the sub-Rs 30,000 price range.
iQOO Z9s Series: While iQOO has not confirmed the launch date, the lineup may include the iQOO Z9s and iQOO Z9s Pro and could be announced on August 4. Both phones may offer a curved display and a Snapdragon 7 series chipset. The handsets could sit in the sub-Rs 20,000-30,000 price range.
Pixel 9 Series: Google will launch the Pixel 9 series in India on August 14. The lineup (which may include the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold) may have a Tensor G4 chipset and will likely run on the latest Android 15 and offer a range of AI features. No details about the India pricing of the devices are available yet.
Vivo V40 Series: The upcoming Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro will launch in India on August 7. The 'Pro' model will boast a 50MP telephoto sensor for capturing zoomed-in portraits. These devices will offer an IP68 rating and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging. Buyers can expect the Vivo V40 to start from Rs 32,000 and the V40 Pro to carry a starting price of Rs 43,000 in India.
Motorola Edge 50: The Edge 40 successor will launch in India on August 1. The IP68-rated handset will offer a MIL-STD 810H certification and run on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE chipset. We can expect the phone to sit in the below Rs 30,000 price bracket.
POCO M6 Plus: All set to launch on August 1, the POCO M6+ 5G will sport a 108MP primary camera and a 120Hz screen. The smartphone could have a starting price of Rs 14,000 in India. It will be available on Flipkart.
