Vivo is preparing to expand its T series family in India with the imminent arrival of the Vivo T4R 5G, following the recent launch of the Vivo T4 Lite. Although the launch date is not yet known, the company has officially confirmed that the phone is coming and will be available exclusively on Flipkart.

Slimmest Quad-Curved Phone in India?

The most attention-grabbing feature of the Vivo T4R 5G is its extremely thin build, with the phone being a mere 7.39 mm thick. Vivo is marketing it as India's thinnest quad-curved display smartphone, according to new market data from Counterpoint (Q1 2025). A fresh promotional banner highlights its slim profile, with a curved design and minimal, flat camera module at the rear.

What to Expect Under the Hood

Although none of the specifications have been officially announced, the Vivo T4R 5G is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, which will provide decent mid-range performance. The phone will also likely ship with IP68 and IP69 ratings, which will make it even more water and dust resistant — a feature that might differentiate it from rivals in this category.

For comparison, the Vivo T4 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor and has a gigantic 7,300 mAh battery with fast charging of 90 W. It comes equipped with a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen and a dual rear camera setup, topped by a 50 MP sensor at the back and a 32 MP front selfie shooter.

The Vivo T4x 5G, however, gets the Dimensity 7300 chipset, a slightly lower 6,500 mAh battery, and support for 44 W charging. It comes with a 6.72-inch full-HD+ screen with 120 Hz refresh rate support and a near-identical camera setup but with an 8 MP front camera.

Price Range and Market Positioning

Even though Vivo hasn't confirmed the price as of now, rumours indicate that the T4R 5G will be priced between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000. That puts it in a sweet spot between the Vivo T4x 5G (₹13,999) and the Vivo T4 5G (₹21,999), making the T4R 5G a possible sweet spot for those seeking a balance between price and features.

With its thin build, affordable price tag, and long-lasting construction, Vivo's T4R 5G may become a serious contender in the mid-range sector. As we continue to wait for the launch date, additional information will undoubtedly come to light — but for the time being, it seems that Vivo has something lightweight and exciting on the horizon.
