Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300s in China next week, and even before the official debut, quite a bit has already surfaced online. The company itself has started teasing key camera features, while leaks are giving us a clearer picture of pricing.

Starting with the cameras, Vivo has confirmed that the X300 Ultra will come with a 400mm Zeiss Telephoto Extender Kit, along with a 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 main sensor. Both the X300 Ultra and X300s will also support new telephoto zoom modes, including a 200mm lens, and will feature a new colour system called ‘Blueprint Native Color’. Both phones are also set to arrive in a Green colour option.

On the pricing side, a Weibo tipster claims that upcoming ultra flagships, likely including the Vivo X300 Ultra and Oppo Find X9 Ultra, could be priced higher than expected. The reason? Rising storage costs. As per the leak, these phones may cost around CNY 500 more than the Xiaomi 17 Ultra for the same RAM and storage variant.

For reference, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra launched at CNY 6,999 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model. That would put the Vivo X300 Ultra somewhere around CNY 7,500 for a similar configuration.

The tipster also points out that Xiaomi had an early edge thanks to relatively aggressive pricing, but that advantage may not hold for long if competitors like Vivo and Oppo push prices even higher.

As for the launch, both the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300s are set to be unveiled in China on March 30 at 7 pm local time, which is 4:30 pm IST. The X300s, meanwhile, is expected to pack a 7,100mAh battery and a 6.78-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also tipped to feature a Zeiss-tuned 200-megapixel camera, rounding out what looks like a very camera-focused lineup.
