Vivo's X300 family may soon have another member. Just a few months after bringing the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 FE to India, the company now appears to be preparing the Vivo X300e. Vivo hasn't officially teased the phone yet, but a new leak has already painted a fairly detailed picture of what buyers can expect.

The Vivo X300e looks set to follow the same formula as the X300 FE instead of starting from scratch. However, a couple of notable upgrades could help it stand apart. One of them is the display, with the phone tipped to feature a larger 6.59-inch flat OLED panel offering a 1.5K resolution. That's a step up from the 6.31-inch screen on the X300 FE.

Performance could remain familiar, though. Tipster Digital Chat Station claims the handset will continue with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, suggesting Vivo is targeting users who want flagship-level performance without completely redesigning the hardware.

The camera setup also sounds similar to what we've already seen in the series. According to the leak, the phone could feature a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera system comprising a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. Selfies and video calls could be handled by a 50-megapixel front camera.

The battery is another area where Vivo may be making changes. The leaked specifications point to a battery rated at either 7,015mAh or 7,100mAh, paired with 90W fast charging support. If that turns out to be accurate, the X300e would offer a larger battery than the Vivo X300 FE while keeping the same charging speed.

A few design details have surfaced as well. The handset is said to feature a metal frame, measure around 7.9mm thick and weigh approximately 203g. The rear camera module is also expected to carry a small square deco positioned in the upper-left corner, while an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner could handle biometric authentication.

Taken together, the leaked specifications suggest Vivo isn't trying to reinvent the X300 series with the X300e. In contrast, the firm is simply upgrading an existing formula, where a large screen and battery size are added without changing most of the hardware inside the device.

For reference, the Vivo X300 FE debuted in India with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, a 6.31 inch AMOLED screen, a 6,500mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging, and IP68/ IP69 ratings for water and dust protection. It has been priced starting from Rs. 79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

Vivo is yet to announce when the X300e will make its debut. If the latest leak proves accurate, it will join the existing X300 lineup, which currently includes the Vivo X300, Vivo X300 Pro, Vivo X300 Ultra, Vivo X300 FE and Vivo X300s.
