Microsoft Crowdstrike update: Microsoft's global outage has affected millions of users worldwide leaving all the companies, service providers and other operations like banks, Airports and hospitality with no access to their servers. The users have complained about the Windows crashing and landing on the blue screen.
What Is CrowdStrike Issue:
CrowdStrike is a cybersecurity firm which helps Microsoft in providing advanced security. It uses AI and machine learning to detect and protect the devices from real-time threats. On Friday, a new CrowdStrike update was rolled out and has caused BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issues on Windows systems.
The company has also stated that the problem was there in the support note. They have also received several reports of Windows systems experiencing blue screen crashes across various versions. However, the company has not announced more details or the cause for this device.
CrowdStrike is working on the resolution of the issue and users are advised to be cautious till the permanent solution has been implemented.
“Multiple services are continuing to see improvements in availability as our mitigation actions progress. More details can be found within the admin centre under MO821132 and on https://status.cloud.microsoft,” Microsoft stated.
How To Fix CrowdStrike BSOD?
Microsoft may soon be rolling out a new update which will fix the problem. However, CrowdStrike is offering a manual solution to fix the problems for the CrowdStrike Windows 10 BSOD issue. Here is the step-by-step guide for fixing the Windows 11 crash.
1. Boot Windows into Safe Mode or WRE.
2. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike
3. Locate and delete the file matching "C-00000291*.sys"
4. Boot normally.
Do note that this fix is temporary and Microsoft may soon be revealing the permanent solution.
