WhatsApp Update: WhatsApp is all set and is rolling out its first update of 2025, which will come loaded with several new features, which will include the ability to share sticker packs, create stickers from selfies and quickly react to messages.
The meta-owned instant messaging app announced in a blog post that users will be able to make a choice out of 30 backgrounds, effects, and filters when taking pictures or recording videos from the built-in camera functionality.
Now you can also turn your selfies into stickers, as a part of the new ability that comes with WhatsApp's latest update. To do this, just go to the sticker section and tap the ‘Create sticker’ button located at the top left. Additionally, you can now share sticker packs with friends and family directly from the chat window.
Now if you need to share a sticker pack, just tap on the plus button that appears at the end of a sticker pack and you will be able to see a new window that will allow you to instantly share the pack with anyone you want.
Currently, WhatsApp users need to long-press on the messages to react to them after accessing the reaction menu, but with the new update this has been made even simpler, now you will only be required to double-tap on that message for a seamless and quicker response.
Lately, WhatsApp has been on an experimenting spree with various updates, which includes a potential update where the Communities tab might get replaced by a new ‘AIs’ tab. The feature will make the creation of personalized AI chatbots possible as per the user's needs. Additionally, Meta is reportedly working on a new Meta AI widget for WhatsApp, aimed at simplifying access to the company’s ChatGPT-like generative.
