WhatsApp users will now be able to book the bus tickets in Delhi. This comes after Meta introduced the new QR ticketing option for DTC commuters. With this, the company aims to help the bus commuters book their tickets eliminating the need to stand in the queue or have a word with the bus conductor.

Users of WhatsApp can simply scan a QR code or text "Hello" to +91-8744073223. Following that, visitors will be taken to prompts that are available in both Hindi and English. Please take note that users must first store the number as previously stated.

Users will be able to reserve their single-journey tickets for DTC and DIMTS routes after saving the number. If you are a frequent traveller, you can expedite the booking process by choosing the quick purchase option.

Once you send a "hi," the bot will ask you to select your preferred language. Once you do, it will take you to a screen where you can choose the destination or the bus stops. Also, there will be a toggle button below that gives users the choice between an AC and a non-AC bus.

The users can get up to six tickets via preferred UPI payment options which means the users will be able to buy the tickets for them, friends or family members.
