iPhone 17 Update: Anticipation for the launch of the iPhone 17 series smartphones is constantly rising, and with each passing day we have new leaks and rumours that take us closer to the picture of what Apple will be unveiling this time for us, now there is a leak that suggests that the iPhone's latest series of smartphones will come with Samsung's OLED technology. According to a reliable tipster, the new iPhones will offer enhanced brightness, better contrast, and superior color reproduction compared to the iPhone 16 models. In comparison, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 series might use slightly older display technology.

iPhone 17 Display Details (Leaked)

A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) by @Jukalosreve suggests that the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Air (sometimes referred to as the iPhone 17 Slim) will feature Samsung's M14 OLED panels. Unlike last year when only the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max were equipped with Samsung’s latest M14 OLED screens, all four models in the iPhone 17 lineup could get the same upgraded display.

Samsung’s M14 OLED displays, known for their improved brightness and more accurate color reproduction, are already being used in the Google Pixel 9 series and the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
These panels are a big leap forward over previous OLED technology, offering a brighter and more vibrant display experience.

Changed Camera Design?

Another thing that we have come across is a recent leak in which the renders showcase a change in camera design in the vanilla version and the pro version of the iPhone 17 series. Possible Changes in Camera Bar Design, though specifics remain unclear. Additionally, there’s talk of higher refresh rate screens being introduced, especially on the standard and 'Air' versions of the iPhone 17 series, offering an even smoother user experience.

Samsung’s Older OLED Technology in the Galaxy S25?
Earlier reports suggested that Samsung might be sticking with its M13 OLED displays for the Galaxy S25 series, which would be a step back compared to the new technology Apple is expected to use. This means Apple’s iPhone 17 series could potentially outperform the Galaxy S25 series in terms of display quality, brightness, and color accuracy.

With these exciting possibilities in mind, the iPhone 17 series is shaping up to be a standout release, offering cutting-edge displays that could take the smartphone viewing experience to a whole new level. With each passing day as the excitement builds it would be interesting to see what Apple has in store for us this time.
