WINDOWS 10 Home and Pro users, take a deep breath before we tell you a piece of sad news. Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 22H2 will be the last version overhaul on your Windows machine. However, there is some consolation. The support for security update releases will continue till October 14, 2025. This end date is identical for Windows 10 Enterprise and Education versions also.
The Windows maker urged users to migrate to the latest Windows 11 as no more feature updates to its predecessor will be pushed by the company. In case a user or an organisation wish to stay on Windows 10, they can update to the 22H2 version and continue to receive monthly security releases.

Further, "existing LTSC [Long-Term Servicing Channel] releases will continue to receive updates beyond that date based on their specific lifecycles," the information adds. While the news might upset some Windows 10 fans, this is no shocker as it has been over a year since the latest Windows was brought on floors. In case you have not installed the latest feature release of Windows 10, we recommend you install it soon.
How to download Windows 10 22H2 version?
You can install the 2022 update of Windows 10 by following the below-stated steps.
Step 1: Click on the "Start" button on the bottom left of the taskbar
Step 2: Locate the "Settings" icon above the Power icon in the Start menu
Step 3: Click on "Update & Security" and then click on "Windows Update" from the left menu option
Step 4: Hit the "Check for updates" button
Once the update package is downloaded and installed, follow the on-screen instructions to successfully update to the last feature build.
Moreover, if your Windows 10 machine supports Windows 11, you will get a prompt to "Download and install" the package. We recommend you use a stable Wi-Fi connection during the process, to seamlessly glide through.
For some background, Windows 10 Home and Pro's support started on July 29, 2015. The latest (and the last) release version - 22H2, started rolling out on October 18, 2022.
