X (previously Twitter) has finally fixed the glitch that restricted users from viewing posts that were posted before December 2014. The bug, which was discovered over the weekend, was the reason behind the chaos that happened on the micro-blogging platform.
X, on the other hand, guaranteed its users that no photographs or data were lost as a result of the glitch. The corporation said in a tweet from its @Support account, "We fixed the bug, and the issue will be fully resolved in the coming days."
A well-known tweet from comedian and television star Ellen DeGeneres was among the content that was impacted. In the post, DeGeneres was shown in the audience with stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence at the 2014 Academy Awards event. Even though DeGeneres' tweet's image was eventually fixed, a response revealed that not all users had access to their photographs yet.
The removal of the image appears to have happened at the same time as Twitter's 2016 introduction of "enhanced URL enrichment." The HTML title and description of a website were now provided in the Tweet payload, along with Operators for better content matching.

On Tuesday, X's owner, Elon Musk, provided insights on how the platform is used. In his words, "We exceeded 346 billion user seconds today." Musk said that aside from a surge a few months ago when numerous Large Language Model (LLM) entities attempted to download the whole database concurrently, this constituted the largest platform usage to yet.
Musk urged journalists to think about publishing directly on X in an effort to support content creation and freedom of expression on the platform. He emphasised the potential advantages of greater financial security and editorial freedom, which might alter the face of journalism.
