X Video, Audio Calls: X (formerly called Twitter) owner Elon Musk and CEO Linda Yaccarino have shared several hints that audio and video calls on X are in the pipeline and will arrive soon on the platform. But in a piece of bad news, a recent code that appeared online reveals it might be available to X Premium users only.

According to a TechCrunch report, the update was discovered by investor Chris Messina in the codes of X app. Based on the revelations, the feature will allow users to receive calls from Verified accounts, users they follow, and people in their contacts lists. This implies a user will be able to enjoy all the associated benefits of X Premium (earlier Twitter Blue) by paying the fees besides the new calling option. These would not require a working phone number to jam with people on the microblogging app. A recent leak concerning the preview of the feature settings also revealed details on the expected lines.

X Video Picture-in-Picture Now Live On Web

On a related note, X's official account added that users can now multitask on the web while watching videos as the pic in pic is now live on PC. Also, according to X News Daily, the company introduced immersive video on iOS. Users can double-tap on the video to access player controls. Additionally, the company is also testing a gallery feature for videos. You can read more on this here.
