X (formerly called Twitter), which grabs headlines for new features, is now in the news for testing two new enhancements for videos. The company is currently testing a video gallery feature, which can be experienced on the web and smartphones. Secondly, the firm has also introduced a new picture-in-picture mode on the web platform.

X affiliate account Yoshi (@yoshi_sbd) posted a video gallery on the platform, which allows users to view multiple videos in one post using an arrow that appears when a user taps or hovers over the video player. While users can view these videos, the option to upload them in a gallery format is not live at the moment.

When we tried uploading multiple videos and testing the feature, the gallery interface did not stir into action. It is undergoing testing, as evident from X News Daily and Yoshi's post.

The feature is currently working on the web, Android and iOS. However, @xDaily added: "This carousel feature does already exist for Ads on the platform, likely explaining why the test worked across all platforms. X is likely working on rolling out the feature to normal users and posts."

Users have been posting their take on the feature. One user said, "Looks amazing just swipe right or left." Another one posted: "That's what I needed to post a course here." Some users demanded a similar feature for images.

X Video Feature: PiP Mode For Web Now Live

In another series of updates, after arriving on smartphones, Picture in Picture is now live for users on the web. Plus, @xDaily added that the option will also work for livestreams. This ensures you can multitask while viewing posts on X. On a related note, Elon Musk's platform is also working to bring audio and video calling to X. You can explore a preview of the feature here.
