Xiaomi HyperOS, the official replacement of MIUI for the users is all set to unveil along with the Xiaomi 14 series at an event in China. This came after the company officially teased the new software on the social media platform. Previously, the company announced its new software with the architecture of its new software.

The upcoming software from Xiaomi is reportedly expected to have five layers and be similar to HarmonyOS. The kernel layer will come after the hardware wand at the bottom. The kernels used by HyperOS are Vela and Linux. For those who don't know, Xiaomi's IoT platform, Vela, is built on the NuttX RTOS.

The next layer will be using the services and frameworks of Android and will be known as Vela. The fourth layer will be known as HyperConnect and will be responsible for the communication. The last layer would be the fifth layer consisting of apps.

However, Xiaomi has not clarified whether the software will be available outside China replacing the decade-old MIUI or whether the company will continue to offer MIUI as a standard offering for smartphones in other countries including India.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 is all set to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The smartphone will get flagship-level specifications and will debut a few months after China's debut. Further, the report suggests that the Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to be smaller than the predecessor and may be offered with 161.6 x 75.3 x 8.7mm. However, the company has not confirmed any of the developments on the smartphone. We will have to wait for the official announcement which can happen this week.
